Earlier on, Meg Lanning won the toss and inserted Mumbai to bat first on a decent looking surface. They were put on the backfoot, very early on in the game, as Hayley Matthews was sent back for a duck.

Yasthika Bhatia followed soon, but it was Harmanpreet Kaur (42) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (80*) who pressed the attacking pedal, stitching a solid partnership. 

However, after the skipper, Sciver-Brunt had to play a lone knock, and somehow took MI to 164/10 in 19.1 overs.

Chasing a below par target, Shafali Verma(43) and Meg Lanning were off to a flier before Matthews and Shabnim Ismal sent the openers back.

Jemimah Rodrigues fell for two, while Annabel Sutherland (13), and Alice Capsey (16) chipped in.

However, it was Niki Prasad (35), who showed a lot of calmness, and Sarah Bryce’s (21) lower-order cameo, eventually helped Delhi get over the line in the last ball.
